The girls who put the 'T' in Nottingham

Welcome to the Nottingham Chameleons' web site. The group is one of the oldest 'local' Social and Self help groups for the Transgendered Community in the UK. We're based in Nottingham and can trace our roots back over 25 years - when being an 'out and about' T-girl wasn't an option!

Girls come to 'NotChams' from all over the East Midlands region and beyond. Why not come along and give the group a try? It's a great safe place for a first night out and you can be sure of a warm welcome. Wives, partners and parents are also very welcome to come along should they wish. You can find our meeting dates here.

Your first visit is free and after that there is an entrance fee of £3.50. For wives, partners or parents, however, attendance remains free (lucky so-and-so's). You don't have to attend 'en femme' as we have changing facilities on site. Tea and coffee is available, so you won't sit there spitting feathers, although there is a small charge for soft drinks. Other than drinking tea and chatting, the group sometimes runs a quiz or hosts a themed evening such as parties, makeover nights line dancing or 'cream on the green'. These are just for fun and you can join in (or not) as you wish.
